Reflection: I believe that George Washington is correct. It is way better to be alone than to be with people who do bad things. If you hang out with awful people then they will influence you to do awful things. Hanging out with good people who do good things, then they will influence you to do good things. Hanging out with good people won't hurt your reputation.

Example: If you hang out with smokers, sooner or later they will ask you to smoke with them. Or just being around with them and seeing that you're left out, may lead you to try and fit in with them. But with good people, seeing that they have good grades or that they seem to be doing good things for humanity may make you want to be as nice as them. With good people they will keep your reputation high. But with bad people, you'll be questioned a lot.
