The 10 Indian Commandments

1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6. Do what you know to be right.
7. Look after the well being of mind and body
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

I really don’t understand why we must learn these. I mean no offense to the Indians but I am not Indian so I shouldn’t really care about this. All of this commandments are to be kind. To choose the right. To respect and love nature. You must always help those in need and must work together for the good if mankind. I think these are very good and it can help someone to have a good character. If you do something wrong you shouldn’t go blaming others. Just like the 10th commandment said, you must take full responsibility for your actions. You must also show respect to everyone. These commandments can make you a better person.

Reflexologist

Reflexologist is a therapy based on the belief that certain areas on the feet, known as reflexes, are joined to parts of the body by “energy pathways.”

To become a reflexologist you must obtain a post secondary education. If you want to be a aspiring reflexologist you can complete a massage therapy certificate or associate’s degree

Reflection: I wouldn’t want to become one. I wouldn’t like touching other people’s feet.

What Alexander said is true. You must always keep your word no matter what. If you promise to bring chips to the party, you have to keep your word. A promise shows that you are trustworthy. If you’re able to keep your promise you’re proving yourself as a great person. If you do the opposite, if you break that promise, it will show that you are not such a great person. If you break a promise you can disappoint the one who you promised. If your best friend tells you a secret and you promise not to tell, then don’t! Your best friend trusted you with this secret! Don’t go telling others! Be true to your word and keep those promises.

Registered Nurse

A registered nurse is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country and state.

To become a registered nurse you must need at least an Associate’s Degree, and a Bachelor’s Degree.

Reflection: I would like to be one. It’s not like being a doctor but at least you get to help people.

I agree with this quote. Doing good things do last forever. When you do bad things, it can fail. You may rob a bank but you’ll end up being caught. While if you do good things, they will last forever. Good things don’t give you negative consequences. Continuing to do good things will continue to give you always succeeding life. If you continue to do bad things, then you’ll continue failing in life.

Recreation Therapist

Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses.

Recreational therapists get a median pay of $48,890 dollars a year

The demand for this job is 12%

In order to become a recreational therapist you must at least have a bachelor’s degree.

Also many therapists need to be certified.

I wouldn’t want to become a recreational therapist. I don’t think I’m cut out to be one.

I disagree with this quote. Not everyone makes the right decisions. Many people have done horrible things in their life. Many have killed, or many have stole. Many make decisions due to other’s thoughts. You may buy some shoes that you find ugly but yet you buy them because everyone has them. Yes there’s some people in the world that do good things. For example, they decide not to cheat on a test or they decide to help those in need. But to say that everyone chooses the correct decisions is an overestimate. Because not everyone does things that are good. And some people make wrong decisions all the time.

Navy Physicians

Navy Physicians attend to service-members and their families in much as a regular doctor would. Medicine isn’t just a job it’s mission. These Navy Physicians must travel and heal even if it’s out on the sea. Navy Physicians work in top military medical facilities. Navy health care offers the ability to focus on the finer points of medicine without the financial and business complications a regular doctor would have.

Salary: Depends how many years they work.

The only education you need is to be able to help others. The Navy pays for your med school.

Reflection: I wouldn’t want to be one. Though I do hold respect for these guys. I just don’t see myself helping others in the middle of nowhere.

What this quote means is that we should influence people to do good things. We can show kids that many other things can make you “popular”. Like having good grades, or being funny. They don’t have to smoke weed or start fights with others. Doing stuff like that is not cool. It messes up your brain and messes up your body. Dropping your grades is not cool either. You need good grades to get into a good college. A good college gives you a good career. We should let more people know that education is important.

Cardiovascular Surgeon

A cardiac surgeon is a surgeon who focuses on healing the heart, lungs, and esophagus.

A cardiac surgeon makes $522,875 a year.

Cardiac surgeons are one of the longest medical fields ever. To become a cardiac surgeon you must complete 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, a 5 year general surgery residency and a 2-3 year of specialized cardio or cardio thoracic fellowship.

Reflection: I would like to become a cardiovascular surgeon. I would like to save lives but it takes many years to study how to become one. I don’t want to spend half of my life studying for this.

This quote is a very nice one. It is explaining that we must always do right things. Even if we don’t end up being successful or we don’t end up winning. As long as we did the correct thing. The correct thing that a man must do. Just like in the video, Lincoln had to walk 6 or 7 miles just to return money to a lady. He had also worked in his neighbor’s farm after he had messed up his book. Lincoln had also paid his huge debt, even if it took him 10 years. He did what was right, and he never gave up.

Pokemon

Pokemon is a video game where you can explore the world of unique creatures. You can catch these creatures, train them, play with them, battle with them, and go on contents with them! In these games you also have a rival who would want to battle with you almost every time you guys meet. There will also be an evil “gang” of thieves, or just people who wish to conquer the world. You, as a trainer, must prevent these people to stop what they’re doing. I enjoy playing Pokemon. It’s like a whole new different world for me. As cheesy as that sounds, it’s true. I have grown to enjoy these games since i was small. I had always enjoyed myself. This game is really fun and I would recommend it s to anyone who enjoys these types of games.

This quote is correct. Being a nice person matters the most. You can be mean and smart but nobody will like you. Nobody is going to look up to you. An example of this can be Hitler. He was a smart man but had to terrible things to mankind. He had took down so many people. He was smart, but did not have a great character.

I wouldn’t want to be a mental health counselor because it seems pretty difficult.

Hard work does pay off. When you work hard to achieve something that you want, it will pay off. You must keep working hard for what you want to be. For what you want to have. Without working hard, you can’t earn something. It takes years and years of practice. And those years will pay off when you achieve your goals. You must never give up, you must keep on going. For example, if you want to pass all your honor classes with A/s you have to study and study and keep doing your work. It may frustrate you at some point but then the passing grades in honors will pay off. You might even get more options for college.

X Ray Technician

An x ray technician use cutting edge imaging methods to visualize the inside of a human body.

A x ray technician make about $15.28-$40.93 dollars an hour, $55,870 a year

A x ray technician must have an Associate’s Degree, and a  degree in Radiology.

What this quote is saying is true. If you do what’s right you don’t get sent to jail. You get to have freedom for as long as you want by choosing the right. You can be independent by doing all the right things.

Example: An example of this can be violence. Instead of fighting a lot and getting send to jail, you can do other things. Fighting gets you nowhere. You can be sent to jail and forced to give in your freedom. Don’t copy this. Anyhow, doing right things will give you long lasting freedom.

Video Game Designer

Duties And Responsibilities: VGD design and create video games for computers and video game consoles.

Education: To be in a game art and design institutes.

Reflection: I think this quote is really good. People who are true to themselves and don’t lie or cheat are the people who deserve to be respected. They should be proud of all the things they have done.

Example: Mark had used drugs to get all those home runs, which wasn’t something great. Dale didn’t use drugs, and had gone so many home runs. Dale was very honest about himself and knew that using drugs will be regret and guilt.

Radiation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Radiation therapists treat cancer and other diseases in patients by administering radiation treatments.

I wouldn’t want to be one because this job looks very boring to me.

Reflection: What George said here is great. You can win for a moment but the guilt lasts for a long time. All those medal aren’t worth the cheating. You should play fair and square. Nobody likes people who cheat.

Example: Just like the video that Dale Murphy showed the kids, cheating can be very noticeable. Nobody cheers for people who are just going to cheat. People who play sports shouldn’t use steroids. We should all learn how to play, how to follow the rules. Cheaters are nothing but selfish people who always desire to win.  

Psychologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychologists study the human mind. Their research helps us understand behavior, memory and mental health disorders. Psychologists also work to promote safety, understanding and good mental health.

Salary: $69,280 (annual)

Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and a PHd or psyD.

Demand: 12% (?)

Yes I would like to become one. I would like to study the human mind.

April Fool’s Day

April Fool’s Day is a day where many people begin to do pranks on eachother. Some of these pranks may be small like little lies: “ Oh I’m not going to school today” or can be bigger pranks like throwing a bucket of water on someone’s face. The original name for this day was “All Fools’ Day”. It’s exact origins remain a mystery. Historians have speculated that april fools’ had began all the way back to 1582. There’s many pro’s and con’s about this day. One of the cons can be being pranked. A pro can be seeing your friend’s reaction to a prank you have done to them.
